Rebalance is a stress-reduction tool that uses mindfulness and heart rate variability to rebalance your body and mind within minutes.

Rebalance starts with mindful awareness practices, to bring the subconscious drivers of our actions and emotions into our conscious mind. This awareness reduces their intensity and allows you to work with them. You are then guided through a centuries-old yogic breathing technique that calms your autonomic nervous system to bring your stress response back to balance. The app provides a biological measure of stress through measuring your heart rate variability (HRV) and teaches you how to optimise it using gamified bio-feedback. The more you practice, the better you get, and the quicker you can bring your body back to balance.

"[Mindfulness] teaches you to pay attention to the present moment, recognizing your feelings and emotions and keeping them under control, especially when faced with highly stressful situations." — Bill George, Harvard Business Review.

Why use Rebalance?

* Mindfulness practices — use mindfulness to reduce the unnecessary worrying of your mind and get back into contact with your body and the present moment.

* Rebalance the autonomic nervous system — were often told to "take a deep breath" when were stressed, but Rebalance takes this to the next level. Youll learn an effective, calming breathing pattern, which deactivates your bodys stress response within minutes.

* Heart rate monitor and biofeedback - Rebalance uses your phones flash and camera to measure the blood flow through your finger. This gives a reading of your heart rate so that you objectively see your stress levels reducing. Rebalance gives you symbols as your stress levels lower, which help you perfect your breathing technique.

When to use Rebalance?

* Before stressful situations such as presentations, job interviews, or difficult conversations, to help you stay at your best.

* To help you overcome cravings for unhealthy habits

* Before bed, to calm the mind for a restful sleep.

We live in a stressful time. Stress is one of the largest causes of mental and physical ill health in the modern world.

Stress Facts

* The stress response stops the normal function of our bodies by shutting down non-essential systems such as the immune system, growth and reproductive processes. This is why chronic stress can lead to stomach ulcers, heart problems, and lowered libido. Mindfulness and breathing techniques, on the other hand, evoke the relaxation response, bringing you back to balance.

* Studies have shown that mindfulness techniques are an effective way of combating stress — even the US Marines use it to build mental resilience.
